Across the conurbation, a variety of events are running from Saturday 3 May until Sunday 11 May to celebrate Victory in Europe (VE) Day.

The British stand-up comic and entertainer will be performing at The Barn in Ringwood on Saturday 3 May.

The event will take place over Julian’s Bridge from Friday 30 May to Sunday 1 June and this year has longer hours and reduced ticket prices.

Organised by Diverse Abilities, the fundraiser challenges teams to compete in clay pigeon shooting, target rifles, archery, and more.

Poole and Parkstone Productions present ‘My Fair Lady’ at Lighthouse Poole from Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 May.

The town, along with others across the country, will mark VE Day 80 with a programme of events including beacon lighting.
