Promoted to the Premier League for the second time, the leader of BCP Council has sent his congratulations to AFC Bournemouth.

There will be multiple blue lights at an Emergency Vehicle Day to be held at Bournemouth Electric Club this Sunday.

The levy imposed on new housing developments has enabled local community projects to receive funding totalling more than £227,000.

The club, which is at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, has widened its membership to include a number of other conditions.

Around 7,000 lollies and 22,000 ice creams were consumed in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole when thousands flocked to the area over Easter.

A planned celebration event at St Peter’s Bournemouth will mark the fruition of a community project that has transformed the overgrown churchyard.

During the initiative, which took place between 11 and 14 April, issues affecting the lives of residents and businesses were tackled.

Over the next 20 years, a number of improvements will be made to improve seafront infrastructure and public spaces.

Food and music festivals are included in a wide programme of events planned for the BCP Council area this spring and summer.
