Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council has cautiously welcomed the government’s white paper, but is awaiting the detail.
The council says the vast majority of funding is directed towards supporting the most vulnerable children and adults.
New town councils are to be established in Broadstone, Poole and Bournemouth and information sessions are to be held for prospective candidates.
The council hopes that its bid for the three towns to become the first ever UK Town of Culture will be successful.
The incident took place at around 7.45pm on Friday 20 February in the gardens, and police are appealing for witnesses.
Residents are being invited to put forward their views on BCP Council’s new Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
Work, which has already started in Westover Road and Old Christchurch Road, will continue into early summer.
A trial implemented in August last year proved to be successful and the council is asking the Government for the powers to be made permanent.
The 18-year-old, who was found in possession of a class B drug, was suspected of being in possession of an imitation firearm.
