It is believed that a number of people were in Meadowbrook Produce at the time, and police are hoping they will come forward with information.
Police want to establish the circumstances of the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or motorists with dashcam footage.
The incident took place at 7.15am on Sunday 17 January and members of the public who intervened are being asked to contact the police.
Items include knives, tobacco, vapes, alcohol, solvents, fireworks, petrol, and age-rated movies and computer games.

More arrests were made during the recent Christmas and New Year campaign, with the majority of offenders being male.
The collision happened on 5 January opposite the Popworld nightclub in Old Christchurch Road, and the man in his 20s died on 12 January.
A man has been arrested and released on police bail, but officers are still appealing for witnesses to the collision.
